Embarking on Step 1
I still have not set in my mind whether I will buy a motorcycle or not, but I decided to at least take the motorcycle training course offered at the local community college, where you use their bikes and is a substitute for the road test for getting your license (the course gives you a certificate to bring to the MVA). It is a good thing I decided to take the class now, since looking at the online schedule, the course is booked solid all next year from spring through summer. There is a maximum of 24 students per class, and the one I am taking (that starts tomorrow) has 16 students (well, 17 now :).
It will kill most of the weekend though. Lecture tomorrow night from 5:45-9:15pm, and then class/bike riding from 7:45am Saturday and Sunday to either 5pm or 4pm (on Sunday). Luckily it will be at most in the mid 80's both days with no rain.
