And the best present you got for your birthday (yesterday) must be the incredible Bush bash by Stephen Colbert at the White House Press Corp Gala. Anyone who hasn't seen it, look it up on the internet or check CSPAN, which played it (sly55 taped it for the archives) today.
Colbert hit George so hard I kept waiting for the Secret Service to jump in front of the President to protect him from those well deserved, cleverly crafted amd extremenly sharp zingers. I would imagine the program director for the WHPCG won't have the same job next year.
What I found most enjoyable was the limited (by shock, I'm sure) response by the Press Corps throughout the presentation.
