BABIES!!
Okaa had her babies tonight!!!!
When I woke up this morning, I remember thinking it was really weird because Okaa looked way...smaller, somehow. I thought maybe she'd either given birth, had a miscarriage or just had a 'fake' pregnancy. I checked the cage and couldn't find a thing. No babies. I was thinking; "WTF? Did she shrink or something?"
So I'm talking to falcor about all of this weirdness and decide; "What the hell. I'll look one more time." lifted Okaa up and felt her belly. No lumpy-bumpies. I was starting to get really disapointed and weirded out. Then I thought; "Maybe I'm just blind and didn't see them." so I carefully got out the nestbox and shifted through it.
I was carefully picking out the shredded up pieces of paper towel and newspaper when all of a sudden I lifted one piece and there was this wriggling, pink creature with bulbous blue eyes staring up at me. I freaked. I did. I cried out and yanked my hand back really fast! It totally surprised the shit out of me! I hadn't been expecting it at all! I quickly and carefully put the nesting back and put the box back in her cage. She looked very pissed with me. I hope I haven't stressed her out to the point that she'll eat them all now...*prays*
I noticed one small piece of paper towel with blood on it that had been chewed. Either she dragged one out, ate it, or gave birth there. I am guessing she ate one. I wish I could say differently but...eh.
I couldn't see how many. I really want to look again but the golden rule is LEAVE HER ALONE! now I have to curb my impatience for the next five days. lol
Once I can see how many I will definetely post some pictures!!!
