(no subject)
Today is my last day of class for this quarter! Whee! I actually didn't even have to go to class this morning, because the final for that class was yesterday, so it wouldn't make much sense to have class the day after the final. I do have my afternoon class, Linguistics, but it's not even a full-fledged class--we just have to meet with the professor individually for five minutes to talk about our progress on our final papers. I'm kind of annoyed that I have to drive all the way to campus and ride the bus all over the place just for a five-minute meeting, but I guess a five-minute meeting beats the usual two-hour class.
Of course, just because today's my last day of class, doesn't mean my work is entirely done yet. Finals week is next week, and while I only had one final exam (which was yesterday instead of during finals week for some reason), I do still have two final papers that are both due on Monday. So I'll be finishing those up all this weekend.
Well, despite the fact that the rational part of my mind was kicking and screaming all the way, I signed up at 100_situations last night. I have a table prompt all picked out, and I've started looking through the prompts and thinking up plotlines for some of them. I told myself I wouldn't sign up until I had worked out general plotlines for at least 75 of the 100 prompts, but...I got antsy and signed up anyway. I was afraid someone else would get to my claim first. I'm not expecting my claim to be approved anytime soon, anyway--the mod hasn't approved any in over a month. So that should give me time to delete my comment if I end up coming to my senses and asking myself why in the world I thought it would be a good idea to write a hundred fics on one subject.
I do have some of them planned out, though. You're allowed to use previously-written stories on the table if you want, and three stories that I've already written (and that I actually like) fit several of the prompts pretty well, so I'm going to use them. Number four will be a story I'm currently writing which is very close to being done. And then I have ideas that I like for three more at the moment...so that's 7 down, 93 to go. Meeps.
