The school I go to? Is really, really big. I knew OSU was huge, but I had no idea that it was
the largest campus in the United States. A lot of people might view that as a negative--who wants to go to a school where there's such a large number of students that you're basically seen as more of a faceless, nameless number than a person? But I actually kind of like it this way. I like the feeling of anonymity. OSU is a place that I go to for several hours almost every day, I take classes, and then I go home. That's it. The university itself is not my home--unlike the way it was at Cedarville. Maybe it's just me, but I felt like at Cedarville they tried way too hard to make it all "Yay, this is your home now, and we're all one big family." And that's great for some people, I'm sure, but it didn't feel right to me. It was like the school consumed my entire life, whereas at OSU, I have my life at school, and then I have the rest of my life at home, which continues on normally the way it was before college started. I guess I just feel like I shouldn't have to suddenly interrupt and uproot my entire life in order to get an education. And that is why I like living at home and commuting to the largest university in the country.
Of course, that's not to say that homework at OSU is any more fun than it was at Cedarville. *ghnarrs* It looks like the next couple of weeks are going to be pretty crazy--I've got three quizzes, a midterm, two papers due, a blogging assignment for English class...and assorted other stuffs. I guess I'll have to put off doing the results of the character meme for a few days. But I am definitely going to try my hardest to make time to see The Prestige this Friday, omg.
Oh, and on a completely unrelated note, another...erms...interesting YouTube video I stumbled on today:
Brett Ratner dressed up as Wolverine on the X3 set. I haven't decided yet whether that makes me want to crack up laughing or crawl into a hole and die.
