I look like a raccoon in reverse.
This past Saturday, my dad and I went to the Ohio State-Cincinnati football game, and for some inexplicable reason, I forgot to put on any sunscreen. I did remember my sunglasses, however, and wore them during almost the entire game, because the sun was right in our faces the whole time. So now, not only is my face nastily sunburned, but I have a lovely sunglasses tan that looks pretty ridiculous. Fortunately, if I put on enough foundation, I can cover it up pretty well, but it still looks a little funny.
But oh well, it's worth getting sunburned to go to an OSU game. We won, of course, although it was a little nervewracking at the beginning--we trailed for the first time all year and only led 13-7 at the half. The players had a bit of a letdown after that huge win over Texas the week before, and had some trouble getting motivated to play lowly Cincy. We always do that--play down to the level of the opponent, and let vastly inferior opponents hang around instead of going straight for the jugular. It's annoying, but at least this time we still ended up winning big, 37-7.
Speaking of Ohio State, classes start this Wednesday. Less than two days, omg, PANIC. Actually, I'm not too nervous yet, although I'm sure I will be on Wednesday morning. Last Thursday, I drove to campus and spend a good chunk of the day there, riding CABS (Campus Area Bus Service) all over the place and staking out the buildings and rooms my classes are in. I've said it before, but I think it's worth saying again: OSU is so meeping massive! I don't miss Cedarville, but I'm very belatedly appreciating how small that campus was--it's definitely a benefit to have a campus tiny enough that you can learn the whole layout in a week or two. (And to think I used to complain when I had to walk fifteen minutes to get to the Cedarville Fine Arts building.)
Fortunately, so far I've found all of my buildings/classrooms except one, and I've staked out the bus stops near them so I'll know where I need to get off. I still need to figure out where the building for my Thursday-morning class is, but I can do that on Wednesday during the five-hour gap between my classes.
Last night and this afternoon, I went back through every single one of my four hundred and five LJ entries and updated the tags. I realized that I didn't have any tags for school or Cedarville or OSU, so I made new tags for all of those. I even made a "Chuck's" tag. *snarf*
