wow, it feels so freaking late and the biggest shopping day of the year is still going strong many places, work is opened until 12 or 1 tonight i believe. I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly today went for me for the most part at work. I still think that making a person who's never done register before on their own do a 8 hour shift at the 2nd register you see coming into the store without a bagger, but at least I now know my way around it, and do it relatively fast, i even did a few credit applications, oh the things i get excited over. i even did went through most of the morning without too many stupid mistakes, and nobody yelled at me!!!!!!! it was crazy busy though, we sold out of items completely less than 15 minnutes after opening. it was a constant 30-45 minute wait to get to a register, in fact, not until i was leaving the store to go home was the line any shorter than that, but the big sale prices were gonna stop soon.
i trust everyone had fantabulous thanksgiving! Mine was fine, my mom was completely nerdy and got a set of those awful holiday jone's sodas. she made everyone shoot the liquid all together and try to guess what the flavor was. god it was like bertie botts beans but in terrible tasting/smelly liquid form. In my opinion the worst were green peas and turkey and gravy, the best ones were sweet potato and antacid, followed by bread roll, there must have been another one we had to try, but the name of it escapes me right now...mmmm having people almost vomit in your house after thanksgiving dinner = priceless.
ugh its getting late, and i should be in bed already because i'm an old maid and have to work at 5 tomorrow, w00t 15 minutes later than today, but at least its not register tomorrow. i'm currently near the end of the muppet christmas carol and consequently cannot do anything until it finishes. i haven't seen it in quite a while, and must watch it often for its ridiculous awesomeness. to see michael caine as scrooge is priceless, it was also the first film i remember seeing him in, which makes it all the more nerdy.
