hey long time no post...but you know how that goes, life has been pretty busy for me lately, since my last post I've been to california, east coast, beach for camping, and victoria, bc., plus I've been on the quest for the ever depressing job search...fun times...
today though was quite a bit different in some ways than any other this summer, i randomly went with Margaret to see my great grandma since I hadn't in a while and the home had called the day or so before saying that she was failing more or less, after seeing her we went to see her younger sister Peggy who has alzheimers, which was also surreal since I haven't seen her since before I left for Florida last summer. randomly enough my dad and i went there again earlier this evening to take out her mattress since they'd moved her onto a different bed for some reason, then within two hours of leaving her place she died.
Dorothy Marie Seeger (Browning) lived a long life at 93 years, and near the end, she held on for some reason, which was ironic in some ways because after her husband died she would always tell everyone how much she wanted to join him and how she was going to just lay on the train tracks and get it over with. In many ways this is very good news, she was in constant pain near the end, its just weird of course when it does happen. I don't know necessarily what to feel about being one of the last two people in the family to see her alive and dead, within a few hours.
okay enough sad writing for the moment...I found the perfect place for me = Victoria, B.C. because their motto is: 'night is for sleeping, day is for resting'
