Hej,

my first tutorial. I was actually impressed that I could do anything acceptable with this cap and so I thought about creating a tutorial. I hope you will like it.

Get from this

This tutorial is for someone, who knows how PS works.

Program Used: Photoshop CS4

1. Step:
Take this cap and crop it as you like it. Then use the "Sharpen"-Filter and then "Fade Sharpen" until you like it. I went with this:

2. Step:
Duplicate the layer and set it to "Screen".

I didn't change anything for the other colors.

5. Step:

6. Step:

I didn't change anything for Lightness and Hue.

7. Step:

11. Step:
Use this texture. Set it to "Darken" and the "Opacity" to 57%. Add a Layer Mask and paint some black spots on the mask until it looks like this. (Source: I have had this texture on my computer for ages. I am sorry, but I have no idea where I found it. If it is yours, just tell me and I will credit you.)

12. Step:
Brightness/Contrast-Adjustment-Layer:
Brightness: 0
Contrast: +17

13. Step:
Hue/Saturation-Adjustment-Layer:
