Title: Chapter Three - Confession

“Yukito, I like you. Please go out with me,” Yamada nervously confessed as he looked sincerely into Yukito's eyes.
“Eh?! Yukito blinked, once, twice as he stood stunned in his place.
It has been quite a few times that Yukito found himself caught in a spot where his heart would go wild like this. He would always ignore them, thinking that it was nothing. However, when he realised the cause of it, he started to distant himself from Yamada.
Yamada on the other hand, found himself falling for Yukito more and more as they spend more time together and it caused him to get frustrated at the simplest thing. Yamada envies Ryutaro 's chance to walk home with Yukito every single day after school. He gets jealous of everyone who were pampering Yukito and was close to him. It makes him frustrated that Yukito would be very hyper at times during break as he jumps around Chinen, telling him how cool the Chinen's performance was. Yukito did not even spare a minute to tell Yamada about his performance when he was just beside Chinen. Usually, he would pout and walk away to spend time on his own when it happens.
However, that day, just as Yukito entered the cafeteria, he was suddenly pulled by the wrist and out of the door. Gasping, he looked up to see who was the one dragging him and was more suprised when he found that it was Yamada.
“Yamada-senpai,” Yukito called out to him as he trotted along behind.
“I told you to call me Yama-chan!” Yamada continued walking as he held Yukito tight.
“Where are we going?” Yukito asked as he tried to pry his wrist out of Yamada grasp.
Yamada did not answer, instead, he pulled Yukito through the hallway and only stopped when they reached the back of the school. He sighed and turned back to see Yukito looking on the ground, his face all red.
“Eto… Can you let go of my hand now?” Yukito asked softly as he held up the arm that Yamada was still holding on.
Realizing what he was doing, Yamada immediately released his hold.
“Yabai! My heart is going doki doki again,” Yukito thought as he nervously tried to look in all directions but Yamada's.
“Ne, Yukito-kun…” Yamada softly called the other.
“Hmm?” Yukito continued to stare at the ground.
“I want you to listen carefully to what I'm going to say. Okay?” Gently, he lifted up Yukito’s chin, making him look up.
“H-hai” Yukito stuttered as they made eye contact.
“Yukito, I like you. Please go out with me,” Yamada nervously confessed as he looked sincerely into Yukito's eyes.
“Eh?! Yukito blinked, once, twice as he stood stunned in his place.
Yukito shifted in his spot, breaking eye contact. He didn’t know what to do. He wanted to run away but yet he wanted to stay. Yamada saw his movements and in a fast movement, he closed the distance between them and hugged him. Yukito immediately tensed up, shocked at his actions.
Yamada felt the boy tensing up, gently he placed his head on Yukito’s shoulder and whispered softly into his ears. “Yuki-chan…”
Yukito blushed even harder at the nickname. Slowly, the end of his lips turned up and he smiled as he relaxed into the hug. Yukito was happy and his heart felt like it was about to explode from the happiness he was feeling. Burrying his face into Yamada’s chest, he hugged him back. Yamada smiled.
“Eto… Actually I like Yama-chan too but I wasn’t sure about it…” Yukito nervously confessed as he looked up into Yamada's eyes.
“Eh? Really? Yamada eyes widened at the confession.
“Un,” blushing, he once again buried his head in Yamada's chest, attempting to hide it.
Yamada lifted his head and their eyes met. “I love you.”
“I love you too” slowly, Yamada closed the gap between them, his lips touching the other's.
It was a gentle kiss on the lips but it made Yukito feel like he was floating around in the clouds at that moment. They parted for air, touching their foreheads together.
“We should get back to the others before they worry about us,” Yamada suggested.
“Uhm. I think so too.”
Their hands were intertwined as they walked back to the cafeteria together. When the rest of them saw their interlinked hands, their only reaction was…
“At last!” Hikaru winked as he gave his signature grin,“you owe me something Yabu.”
“Tsk. Fine. Later at home then,” Yabu rolled his eyes but he was smiling nevertheless.
“About time…” Takaki and Daiki bellowed to the couple, hi-fiving each other.
“Omedetou,” Inoo and Chinen smiled and congratulated the couple.
“ So cute and sweet ne…” Yuto said to Keito, nudging him gently.
“Make sure you take care of him Yamada,” Ryutaro just tapped the older boy's shoulder and went back to his seat.
“Eh? You guys are not surprised?!” Yamada exclaimed.
“Duh!” All of them responded at the same time and burst out in laughters.
The new couple blushed at their response before sitting down together for lunch. Yamada was happy that he was able to be with Yukito and Yukito felt the same. Even though Yukito was still shy about about it, he was still happy. Smiling, he turned to Yamada and received a peck on his cheeks. Yukito blushed and stared at his food, feeling everyone's gaze on them. He smiled, hesitating slightly before responding back by giving a peck on Yamada’s cheeks too. Giggling, they blushed once more as they looked at everyone's knowing smile and continued their lunch in bliss.
