New Stuff
i hope today works out well. there's an ultimate frisbee game today and i don't think a lot of people are going to show up, though. i hope everything works out for the best.
i had a dream last night. it was the first dream i've had in such a long time. a lot of it took place in Saint Mary Magdalen...at night. i had to get into a building to help someone out and there were two cops standing outside their two squad cars that was at the entrance to the building. they told me i had to park my car on the other side of some building. so then i went toward the church office and there was a different building there. i went into the restaurant and had to get to the other exit. my boss, deborah, and dave (another boss in GC) was there. i was with someone and we had a furry creature with us, it was a hamster (i think). it looked exactly like Chris Rock's character in Doctor Dolittle. then near the end of the dream, dave complained about having the rodent in the restaurant and deborah agreed with him. i turned to deborah and got angry with dave. i told her that he was wrong and whatnot. she didn't fire me. the scene inside the restaurant was super awesome. i had to bust open a door to get to the exit from the freezer. it was a wild dream.
anyway, back to reality. if the frisbee thing doesn't work out, then i'm probably just going to show up to work and ask if they have anything for me to do. sometimes people call in to say that they won't make it or they'll call in to say they aren't coming at all. it doesn't happen too much, but it stills happens.
i hung out with nikki yesterday. that was a bad move on my part. i thought, "hey, i can hang out with her and nothing'll be wrong. the whole thing with jonathan's died down and we can at least be friends." so we were talking while i was off for the night and that was good. then people joined us and that was good. then i checked the time and wanted to go home because i was there an hour already. most of the people had gotten up already to go take care of the tables in the banquet room. it was just nikki and i there and she wants me to stay with her. i told her that she could come with me and we could hang out. nikki thought for a second and then got up to come with me. we went to my car and she had to make a phone call real quick and then came back. we didn't know what we were going to do, so i started driving. i remembered mentioning trotters park and the frisbee game, so i drove her down to trotters park. i thought that we could walk around and talk a bit, but she just totally flipped. all of a sudden, she made these comments about how i took her to the field to kill her and after that she just became super sarcastic. she was saying how it was the best idea in the world to go to trotters park and that she had a blast at the field. so we were in trotters for no more than two minutes. so we're on lee road and i asked if she wanted to see my old school and then the sarcasm came back. i start getting more irritated with it and the whole thing i can think of is, "just drive back to Golden Corral and drop her off at her car." we get to golden corral and then she asks about hanging out at christy's tonight. she wanted to know if i was going to go over there and i shrugged. i told her that if i went, i'd only go for a little bit and then she said that she'll go, but only if i do. nikki told me that she'd feel uncomfortable with everyone else, but would be comfortable if i was there. so after a bit of talking with carlos and christy, the plan to go over there is set. right before nikki goes to walk over to her car, she turns to me and says tells me i'm not going to smoke tonight. i turned to her and said that it was never my plan to smoke tonight in the first place. carlos, juan, christy, ernesto, and another kid get into christy's car, i'm in my car, and nikki's in hers. we all head over there. i got out of the car and nikki went right for me. we all were walking toward the house and i said i wanted to take my belt off and toss it in the car. nikki walked back to be with me and then we walked to the house together. we got inside and nikki was normal and everything. then i mentioned that i was leaving because it was 11:40pm. all of a sudden nikki went back to the way she was in the car. "oh, mark's going home...he's going to jog. he wants to prepare himself for the game tomorrow," and she said some other stuff. i was thinking, "what the hell?" then i talked for a minute more and left. for some reason she wasn't herself last night and i don't know what happened. i can't seem to understand why she was like that.
