Something for all those on my friendlist; Orange Range's Love Parade single, which came out today. I like this single, for the sole reason that I can sing to it (unlike Asterisk) lol :D Naw, it's got a nice tune to it too. I could picture myself playing catch in a large field with friends with the sun setting in the distance, our eyes sparkling and skin radiating in the orange light. *AHEM* Don't ask me, it just felt that way.
The cable provider is streaming digital cable channels for non-digital cable AND non-cable subscribers (Manually tune your TV) to preview from now till 19th June and I got to watch Animax yesterday morning.. Princess Tutu!!! OMG when I saw the commercial for it ages ago on another cable channel I was thinking "Ugh. Must be those sickeningly cutesy type anime with not much of a plot (blame the name!)."
I was so wrong!!! When I heard the opening song I was like "GYAAHH THIS IS!!! THIS IS RITSUKO OKAZAKI!!" I so, SO, SOOOO love her for her work on the Furuba anime soundtrack, everytime I hear "For Fruits Basket" my eyes get wet :P It was also sad hearing her voice knowing that there'll be no more songs from her; she passed away in May last year due to septic shock..
And if her singing the opening theme wasn't enough, the episode started off with Tchaikovsky's Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy! That's like the ultimate-hit combo anyone could sock me with (Tchaikovsky = my favourite composer, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy = my favourite score). Throughout the show there were more of Tchaikovsky's compositions.. I was.. in another time and space lol. Princess Tutu is based on the story Swan Lake, another plus because I love whimsical fairy tales. The animation is reminicent of Honey & Clover's watercolor style which I adore, and to wrap it all up with a nice, pretty bow, the ending is adorable and also done by Ritsuko Okazaki. This anime is totally my type. It's a match made in heaven...
However Google was a bitch and kicked all my anticipation and excitement out the window by telling me that no torrents for the series can be found since it's licensed by ADV. Curses!!!
