Last night was great. Instead of trick-or-Treat-ing we did an outreach. we split up into groups of like 3-5 and walked around Tyler (big town) going door to door asking people if they would donate canned goods to Salvation Army. My group had the most interesting area to cover. We got the Ghetto. OH Yeah. We accually had a cop pull up to us and tell us it was dangerous to be going door to door and that we should leave but we didn't. There were only TWO kids going around getting candy, and they were on bikes and this was a huge place, so the kids wouldn't even come out during Holloween. It was cool though. No fears. We ended up with like 4 huge bags of canned goods. We asked everyone we talked to if we could pray for them, and it was awesome to pray for people all over the neighborhood. some people would not open there doors, and some thought we were joking but when we prayed for them they really opened up and we got to bless a lot of people, and we collected food for the hungry. These people were really poor, I was surprised some of them had such giving spirits. we saw one scary druggy homeless dude but we stayed away.
