OK! So, Heather and Scott's wedding was fantastic. It was, by far, the best wedding I have ever been to, and I am not just saying that because I love them! She looked beautiful, he looked very handsome, and the love they feel for each other was so obvious. I only cried a little - actually I don't think I did until Scott flattered me in his speech. What a sweetie! I was quite pleased with my speech, although I was heckled at first. Thanks Kat, that really helped my nervousness... not really...
I thought I would have a ton to say but really the overwhelming thought was - it was awesome. Heather and Scott's family and friends are so nice, the food was fantastic, and the whole week I was there was wonderful. The weather sucked and we were a bit concerned, but the evening of, it was great. Although, at about 5:00 when we were getting in the limo a few drops of rain splashed, but no fear! We ignored it and it backed off!
I arrived on Tuesday and we had the rehearsal dinner ( I think I cried then...), and got to know some of the other members of the wedding party - the guys are all hilarious! Then we just puttered around for a few days putting finishing touches on things (making favour boxes filled with gummy candy, making the seating chart, picking up flowers the morning of) and just spending some quality time together.
My only thing... in the pics I look incredibly fat, so I have once again decided I have to do something about it. Boot camp starts tomorrow at 6am and I am psyched! Plus, we went rock climbing and mountain biking this weekend - very little sitting on the couch! No random eating! We did very well, and I am feeling better already. Still pudgy, but better. Mountain biking was by far the hardest thing I have ever done. Which surprised me... I made it up ok, although I was so exhausted I almost threw up. Coming down, I was terrified and we had to take the easy trail back. I cried, and John was annoyed, but I was just so damn frustrated. I hate that I cry so easily!
Rock climbing was awesome - it was a top rock/anchors class. We are so psyched to get gear and get climbing, although we have to fix the truck before we buy any gear!
Ok, not so epic... but there it is, an update! :)
