I love weekends that are productive and relaxing. Friday Aaron and I ran errands. Baby Scion was so full! We had to our monthly grocery shopping, Sam's Club (which included a new, giant dog bed!) and a Little Tikes Basketball hoop as a gift for Baby Ben's birthday. Saturday Einie woke me up too early, but I will forgive him. I unloaded one of our bookshelves, purged the books, moved the bookshelf to another room, then reloaded it with books. We then went to Baby Ben's Birthday. I can't believe how big he is getting or that he is 1 now! It was fun to see lots of people, eat some cake, watch Ben eat cake and open presents. He liked his present from us. I came home napped, made dinner, then watched the PSU vs. Iowa football game.
Sunday I actually got to sleep in!! It was amazing. I then spent about 3 hours sewing. 45 minutes of that was me taking apart the machine, because my needle got stuck down. Down and through the fabric and not moving. I ended up removing the plate and bobbin, breaking the needle, picking up the needle pieces, finding that the bobbin holder got jammed with a tiny piece of flannel. Ugh! I was proud of myself for troubleshooting the 40 year old machine, but what a pain! Aaron and I ran some errands. I got some padded mailing envelopes to mail some presents to people and to ship the books I sold on amazon. I also got "bachelor" buttons for Aaron's pants. They are buttons that you don't sew, just hammer them onto the pants (think jean buttons). Fixed two pairs of Aaron's pants. Made dinner-quorn garlic herb "chicken", butternut squash, smashed potatoes, and tossed salad. About 20 min ago I decided to make chocolate chip cookie bars.
I also did some laundry, did the dishes, finished my book, gave Einstein a bath, cut Einstein's nails and talked to my mom and grandmom. It was a great weekend.
