Lots of fun stuff going on!

We sold our trailer and the new one should be here next week.  It's weird to go to the barn and have no trailer.  It was bitter sweet to sell the old one.  I'm glad we sold it, and glad we did not have to deal with having two trailers here at one time BUT I loved that trailer and Lance and I had a lot of really good times in the trailer so it was sad to see it go.  I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as we did.

I tried my first HOT yoga class.  That was an adventure.  It was not nearly as horrible an experience as I had anticipated and I am actually finding myself trying to figure out when I can go again.  Somewhere between "it's so damn hot, I can't breath" to "I'm going to die" I moved into "hey I kind of like this".  Definitely some self discovery going on when you are practicing yoga in a room heated to 105, your mind is screaming GET OUT and you have to convince yourself that YES you are capable of doing this.

I finally took the plunge and bought myself a pair of cycling shoes for spin class.  I'd put it off for so long because I'm not really a biker and just could not justify the expense for a taking spin classes.  I finally decided that 1-2 spin classes a week were enough of a commitment to make the investment.  OMG, why did I wait so long?  I could not believe the difference my new shoes made being clipped into the pedals.  So much more efficient, better form and more power.

Watched the opening ceremonies of the Olympics last night.  I love love love the Olympics!!!!!  There are some really great stories of human achievement this year.  A deaf drummer leading the drums in the ceremony last night, a blind archer and a double amputee runner will prove that there really are no excuses.  I'm loving the "independents" competing with no country and my Misty May and Kerri Walsh are back in volleyball.  Should be some fantastic games!!!!!

It's been hot here and the humidity has been running extremely high.  The past couple days have found us under a heat advisory.  Because of this I have not been asking much of the horses.  Weekends I've been getting up early and sneaking a ride in here and there and we've done a little bit of ground work a few evenings here and there but mostly I'm hoping they will hang out in the shade and try to keep cool.

I am loving collecting an egg everyday.  I still have only one chicken laying but I think I have a couple others that are getting ready to start.  There is something so gratifying about cooking with eggs you've raised.

Have a great weekend!
