YouTube Tuesday: Lies (And Rambling)
It's interesting how I can live hour in and hour out and get downright lethargic about life. You know, see how much time I'm wasting, or wonder what the whole point of it all is, or whatever. Then a block of twelve hours comes and pushes you around a little bit and you kind of go, "Whoa, wait, really? Right now? Right freaking now??"
Yes, just neigh on twelve hours ago, Death came on up and said, "Oh hi, don't forget! I'm here and I'm a total JACKASS." Really isn't cool, Death, you're a serious bastard. Because Death took a life that was just about the most unfair deal ever -- just a little baby that was nothing but wanted in this world, for the sake of all living things. And I'd probably talk more about it, but it's not my actual family so I'll just leave it there. But he was a close "relative", in the BFF-family-extension kind of way, so I have been pretty... heh, bummed, to say the absolute least.
Then you discover that like, every other person on your friends list is BUMMED or ANGSTING or having ISSUES and FOR GOODNESS SAKE, IS ALL THIS FOR REAL RIGHT NOW?
Then you watch like three episodes of JONAS because screw what anybody else thinks, that show is ridiculous funny and makes you not feel so damn lousy.
Anyway, MOVING ON. It's YouTube Tuesday. And I was going to post this anyway, because also hidden somewhere in that twelve hour block was the highly-anticipated Carrie Underwood Special Variety Show THING with guest DAVID COOK, which was all I planned on yesterday, okay? I like planned things, not random acts of random WHATEVER THIS HAS BEEN. And he'd announced before that they'd be performing "Lie" which seemed like an odd choice except it turns out it's Carrie's favorite song and in the end seemed appropriate in a weirdly weird way.
In an "It's a truth that I don't want to hear" kind of way, is what.
