Based on a Fanfic/Music Meme.
Meme Rules:
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it's over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them.
(On that note, on the very first one, I added the quotes in afterward because while they were part of the story, I didn't actually write them, so I didn't feel they should come out of the time used to write the actual fic.)

Title: Later
Song: Hanging by a Moment - Lifehouse
Pairing(s): Oliver/Clark
Rating: PG
Warnings: none, really, unless you need to be warned for a boy thinking about wanting to hug another boy
Spoilers: 9x07 Kandor
Word Count: 327 (514, including the quotes)
“When my dad died, I remember thinking at least I’d have the memories of being with him here on the farm. With Jor-El being gone, all I’m left with is…”
“Empty feeling inside.”
Oliver knows that feeling all too well. He was only a child when he parents died, he barely remembers them. There’s always that hollow, aching feeling in his chest whenever he thinks about them, tries to remember their voices and smiles…
Knowing how hard it is makes it that much worse for him to think that Clark is experiencing the same thing. That’s the last thing he would want for anybody to go through, especially Clark. Not for the first time, he has the strongest urge to pull Clark into his arms and whisper to him how it’ll get a little easier with time.
“I had so many questions I wanted to ask him. Figure out who he really was.”
“Seems to me like you’re a chip off the old block. After seeing how he saved our spunky sidekick, I’d say you’re both heroes.”
“I’ll never be able to live up to everything he accomplished.”
“I don’t know. I don’t think anyone wears that super shield quite like you.”
Listening to Clark’s voice doesn’t make that pang go away - it only gets stronger. He wishes there was something more he could do to ease Clark’s pain, but at least he’s able to listen and empathize. He cracks the joke, just a hint of flirting, hoping that maybe it’ll bring a smile to Clark face, but no such luck. Then again, he hadn’t really expected it to be that easy; Clark was never one to hand out smiles freely.
“Still, he sacrificed so much sending me to this planet. Then he sacrificed himself again to protect my secret.”
“Of course he did, Clark. You’re his son.”
“He didn’t have to die.”
That almost does it - his willpower almost breaks. He’s about five seconds away from showing Clark just how much he’s here for him, but still he holds back. He knows that Clark wouldn’t be very receptive to his feelings right now, that he could have better timing. Now’s not really the time for lovey-dovey mush. Clark’s planning things in his mind already, Oliver can almost see the spinning wheels through his clear blue-green eyes.
“I asked Chloe to scan all the footage she has from the farm. She’s gonna use the Watchtower to figure out what really happened.”
“Look, um, I know you and I haven’t always seen eye-to-eye lately, but, uh… I got your back. Always.”
“Good. Cause I’m gonna need your help to figure out who killed my father.”
And that’s the closest he’ll get to revealing himself now. Maybe there will be time in the future for him to tell Clark just how deeply his feelings run, but now he needs to focus on helping Clark in any way he can that doesn’t involve picturing them curled up on the couch together or naked in his bed. Maybe later he’ll be able to tell Clark he loves him.

Title: Drowning
Song: How to Save a Life - The Fray
Pairing(s): Oliver/Clark
Rating: PG
Warnings: This one's a little angsty
Word Count: 168
Clark knew what he needed to do - knew that he needed to confront Oliver, yet again, about the drinking and disappearing acts. He was putting himself in danger for his own reasons, selfish though they may be, when the world needed him to be Green Arrow.
But it hadn’t been easy to track Oliver down, and when he finally did, he found he didn’t want to yell and argue anymore; he just wanted resolution. He wanted the old Oliver back - the one that always found something to joke about, even in the most inappropriate times. He missed that Oliver. The new man he was becoming was a poor imitation and wasn’t even worthy to be called Oliver Queen.
But instead of doing anything - arguing or just talking in general - Clark realized he couldn’t force himself to face the situation, because what if Oliver was irreversibly damaged? What if the Oliver Clark loved never came back? Would he be able to handle it?
He would have to, wouldn’t he?

Title: Vivid
Song: Untitled - Simple Plan
Character: Oliver
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Sort of character death, angst
Spoilers: 8x01 Odyssey
Word Count: 174
After all was said and done, Oliver found himself lying in his bed that night, going over the day’s events… Finding Clark in Russia, bringing him back to Metropolis, trying to save Chloe, killing Clark…
His breath hitched when that thought crossed his mind. He couldn’t believe he had done that. What was he thinking? How could he let the enemy control his mind like that? He felt a wave a sickness rush over him and quickly made his way to the bathroom, barely reaching the toilet before throwing up what little he had managed to eat for dinner.
When his stomach stopped cramping long enough for him to catch his breath, he rested his forehead against the cool porcelain of the toilet seat, trying to calm himself down. Clark was okay now, he reminded himself. That’s all that mattered. Right?
Except, he would never fully be able to rid his mind of the image of Clark laying on the ground bleeding to death from holes in his chest caused by Oliver’s own arrows.

Title: Brothers
Song: Swing Life Away - Rise Against
Pairing(s): Oliver/Clark
Rating: PG
Warnings: implied boy-kissing :p
Word Count: 138
Brothers - that’s the word Chloe would use to describe Clark and Oliver’s relationship, if anyone ever asked. On their best days, Oliver threw jokes and teasing insults at a very imperceptive Clark, but then they could turn around and fight each other to the ground if provoked.
They were very similar, in a lot of ways, but when they disagreed - it could turn into a fight to the metaphorical death. Or maybe it was because they were so similar that they disagreed so much? It would certainly makes sense. They were both very stubborn men, very set in their ways, and viewed the world from their own unique angle.
But she realized she would probably have to change her description of their relationship when suddenly, one day, their very heated argument turned passionate in a very different way.

Title: Ache
Song: Lips of an Angel - Hinder
Pairing(s): Oliver/Clark; Clark/Lois; Oliver/AC
Rating: PG
Warnings: Angst...
Word Count: 255
Clark is only half-surprised when his phone rings, and even less shocked when Oliver’s named pops up on the screen. The clock on his bedside table reads 3:21 AM, but he wasn’t sleeping anyway.
Taking the phone in the next room over so as not to wake Lois, who is still fast asleep next to him, he answers quietly. “Oliver, what’s up?”
“I just needed to hear your voice, Clark,” the voice on the other end whispers.
Clark’s chest tightens at both the words and the tone. “Ollie… are you okay?”
“I will be.” There’s a pause and some soft rustling in the background, and then, “Is Lois sleeping?”
“Yeah. What about AC? Does he even know you’re calling?”
“He’s asleep, not that it matters. He knows.”
Not really knowing what to say to that, but not wanting to let Oliver go just yet, Clark lets the silence take over for a moment. He can hardly remember why they broke up anymore, though he does remember vaguely something about Oliver not wanting to hold him back when he left for Star City. They were both supposed to move on with their lives and only interact when necessary…
But it was like the minute Oliver stepped off that plane, they started this routine - once a week he would call, late in the night when Clark should’ve been asleep, though he never was. And to be perfectly honest, Clark looked forward to those calls; it loosened the ache in his chest for those few short, sweet minutes.

Title: Content (sequel to Ache)
Song: This Is It - Staind
Pairing(s): Oliver/Clark; mentions of Clark/Lois and Oliver/AC
Rating: PG
Warnings: none
Word Count: 229
The press would have a field day if they knew just whose arms Oliver was lying in that night. The last time he and Clark had been together, they had kept it very quiet; only Chloe, Lois and Martha Kent had known anything about their relationship. This time… well, Oliver knew that this was exactly how he wanted to spend the rest of his life (or at the very least, all of his free time for the rest of his life). He knew he wasn’t willing to keep it a secret forever. He also knew, though, that Clark would have a tougher time coming to terms with telling everyone. But, he figured, he could wait til Clark was ready.
Lois had broken up with Clark shortly after Oliver got back in town - she knew that she didn’t stand a chance when it came to Clark; but even more than that, she wanted them to be happy, and knew that they were happiest when they were together, so she had selflessly stepped out of the way and let them be together.
AC… well, he and Oliver had only had a casual relationship anyway - a ‘friends with benefits’ type thing, so that hadn’t been an issue.
But none of that really plagued Oliver’s mind at the moment. He was too content falling asleep in the arms of the man he loved.

Title: Secret
Song: I Try - Macy Gray
Pairing(s): Oliver/Clark
Rating: PG
Warnings: Clueless Oliver deserves a warning, right?
Word Count: 322
The clouds passed by quickly, white puffy things that held no interest whatsoever for Oliver - he had seen them countless times before, and besides that he had more important things on his mind than clouds. First he had to deal with 33.1 and stop Lex, and then his break-up with Lois was weighing on his mind, though not quite in the way he would’ve expected. He found that while he did miss her, he was almost relieved that he didn’t have to worry about her figuring out his secret too much since she wouldn’t be spending time with him anymore.
“You know, I may be way out of line here,” Bart began, seeming only slightly unsure of himself, “but maybe you should just tell Clark how you feel about him. It would be easier than trying to pretend that leaving is easy.”
Oliver turned his view from the window to Bart, an incredulous look crossing his face. “What are you on about?”
“He’s right, you know,” Victor cut in before Bart could respond. “And it might take some weight off your shoulders if it’s one less secret you feel you have to keep.” AC nodded in agreement.
Now thoroughly confused, Oliver asked, “Did you guys inhale too much smoke back at the lab? Maybe the chemicals are affecting your brains or something.” Then, after a pause, he added, slowly to make sure it would sink in, “I don’t have feelings for Clark.”
“Oh, so then I guess that long look you guys shared back at the barn was purely platonic?”
“What are you-” Oliver stopped himself as he remembered the way he had stared into Clark’s eyes, searching for something, though at the time (and even now, really) he hadn’t known what he was looking for; he remembered the way something had settled in his chest when he realized he would have to leave…
Maybe they weren’t so completely wrong after all.

Title: Confrontation (sequel to Secret)
Song: Can't Fight This Feeling - Journey
Pairing(s): Oliver/Clark
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: boys making out on a couch?
Word Count: 152
Okay, so the night hadn’t happened exactly as Oliver had planned - he had been meaning to talk to Clark about the feelings he hadn’t realized he even had until the team pointed them out to him; that much he had accomplished - but he wasn’t expecting Clark to reciprocate whole-heartedly.
Not that he was complaining.
Arching into Clark’s strong hands as they ran smoothly down his chest, Oliver moaned into the mouth pressed firmly against his. His own hands found their purchase in the form of grabbing onto Clark’s t-shirt and refusing to let go. They were making out on his couch like a couple of horny teenagers, and Oliver just couldn’t bring himself to care about that.
Only two thoughts had really crossed his mind since the second Clark had started kissing him: Lois had been right; Clark really was an amazing kisser - and why had he been ignoring these feelings, again?

Title: Farewell
Song: What I've Done - Linkin Park
Character: Oliver
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: attempted suicide
Spoilers: through 9x04 Echo
Word Count: 158
He knew his actions had caused a lot of trouble - that was definitely something Oliver Queen was well aware of. He had used people, had ignored his company and his calling, had lost the trust of his closest friends… And he had killed a man and blamed someone else for it.
And he found himself with the opportunity to wash all of that away, to solve all his problems. So why wouldn’t he take that opportunity when it presented itself? The world would be a better place without him, right?
But when he stepped off the plate and nothing happened - that’s when he fully realized that in the end he would have to face everything he had done, would have to make amends and fix the broken trust. It wasn’t exactly the push he needed to get himself together, but it was a start. There was a light beginning to show at the end of a long tunnel.

Title: Trust
Song: I'd Come For You - Nickelback
Pairing(s): Oliver/Clark
Rating: PG
Warnings: a boy thinking of another boy in a slightly more than friendly manner
Word Count: 233
Before he met Clark, Oliver had never really had someone he trusted so deeply. Clark knew pretty much everything about him, it seemed, and had learned all of it in such a short time. There was something about Clark that just made him want to open up and talk about himself in a way that he had never done before.
So, really, it shouldn’t have come as such a shock to him when he realized that what he thought was trust in a friend was so much more than that. He should’ve noticed sooner that whenever Clark needed him, he dropped everything and went to him as soon as possible. He should’ve seen the way he acted around Clark, should’ve realized that that was so much more than friendship.
Clark brought out a side of him that he didn’t even know existed - a side that, quite frankly, scared the living hell out of him. He had never been so completely overprotective of someone before, had never felt the need to focus solely on one person before.
He knew that he would do anything for Clark - including give up his life if need be (because after all, Clark was so much more important to that world than him), though he sincerely hoped it wouldn’t come to that.
Now if only Clark would open his eyes and see what was right in front of him.
