Etsy

There are many Etsy shops out there. I have spent hours looking through them. I am thinking about opening one myself. The question is, what do I make that is unique enough to sell? I can crochet scarves and potholders, put jewelry together and take photographs. However, looking on Etsy, these items are far from unique. I'm tempted to start at what I know an move on from there...but is that enough? I have been scanning Craigslist for a sewing machine. If only I were back home to pick my old one up. Anyhow, there are a few items I can make on the sewing machine as well. Perhaps some pillows, pillow covers and slippers. I'm really excited about the slippers. Anyway, those items seem fairly prevalent as well. Time to think some more.
