Fourth of July weekend was probably one of the worst weekends of the summer here. It rained the whole time without letting up. It was fun to see some of the events (like log rolling) but mostly I just felt like going home rather than enjoy the rest of the events. OK, so the rain did let up on the Sunday and Monday. Ryan and I went out to shoot photos of the fireworks the night of the Fourth. On Monday, Ryan went into work and after sleeping in, I went in to work on paperwork. Folks, if you become social workers, there is a ton of paperwork to do! I am not complaining; I am stating a fact.
Around that time, we also attended a wedding and had some friends over for dinner. I also had a root canal. Before that happened, the pain was so terrible that I went to the ER one night and got some anti-inflammatory and pain killers. That helped...while I puked in reaction to the medicine. Eventually I stopped puking and the pills could actually work. This week I have a cold. How many other things will go wrong in the next year? A lot of things have since my last birthday.
