My brownies may only be a quarter of an inch thick, but at least they didn't boil.  I have had terrible luck with brownie mixes and tonight for the first time in two years I was able to successfully bake brownies.  Next time I will experiment more with leavening agents, but for now I'll enjoy my gooey, chocolatey, melt-in-your mouth brownie success.
