you can't get there from here
verizon schmerizon. we didn't have phone service in hoboken for two days. phil must have called verizon 87 times to complain, and only talked to someone reasonably competent early this evening. insane. the phone just didn't work and no one could tell us why. funny, but we knew why the entire time... anyway, it is fixed now (for the time being, i assume) because, on a whim, phil unplugged everything and then plugged it back in. and who says miracles aren't possible?!
another miracle is that i am sitting here typing this. i tried a new route back to syracuse from hoboken today. i thought this new route was going to cut a good 30 minutes off my travel time. um, it didn't. and i became horribly lost. i ended up in the terrifying outskirts of newark. i feared for my life. and apparently NO ONE there knows their way around their own city. asking how to get to 80 was like asking someone if i could have their four-headed child. this hour and a half detour caused me to miss a final exam. awesome. so i get to take three tomorrow. even better.
so considering i have three finals tomorrow, what do you think i did since i've been home? yep, that's right, i watched seven episodes of friends! it was a damn good time. oh, and i networked. but no studying. because, i mean really, do i care? survey says... hell no! i intend on looking over my notebooks approximately 20 minutes before each exam and just walking in there and getting each bad boy over with. because at 7pm tomorrow, i am all kinds of done with school. done. done. d-o-n-e. and, i'm not gonna lie, it's good.
