"we have spaghetti, a vacuum and a penis..."

an uber brief interruption to update my life since the day after christmas:

1. happy 2004! (aka happy "i am freaking out because i graduate this year")

2. ed has moved to fridays at 9pm. is nbc trying to kill my show?!? thankfully, as my consolation prize, i get two new eds this week! yippee!

3. speaking of television and what will be replacing ed in it's timeslot, THE APPRENTICE with donald freakin' trump is AWESOME! wednesdays at 8pm on nbc. WATCH THIS!

4. wesley clark is fascinating. he has phil's vote. he's "shooting for a higher standard of leadership in america." what a concept!

5. why is the empire state building still lit up in red and green? did i mention i got to see the TREE in rockefeller center?!?

6. the people in 701 moved out, and the guy in 702 had his locks changed.

7. i heart baking. much of this winter break has been spent baking. as of today, i have made: about 11 dozen assorted cookies (about 9 or so dozen were given as christmas gifts), a brownie pie, banana bread, and a brownie/cookie bar thing. and stacey got me a cookie cookbook for christmas which further fueled my crazed baking event.

8. i already miss stacey and she hasn't even left for london yet. she shouldn't leave me ever.

9. brian wilson is amazing/crazy. i've been reading his autobiography. wow. he's pretty fucked up. and i'm only in the early 70s. damn. but insanely brilliant. mmm... pet sounds...

10. i've learned that new york city isn't as big as you might think. example: phil and i ran into his ex girlfriend (the one that i briefly overlapped... ahem) near bloomingdale's just before we went back to PA for christmas. that was fun. i saw her first and knew it was unavoidable. but it really wasn't as horrific as it could have been. the three of us chatted, albeit semi-uncomfortably, and were all pleasant. she's a very lovely girl (and yes, i do mean that), and had i not come along (hey, i might have liked her, but c'mon i'm not going to just give my boyfriend away) i told hm he should have stayed with her. and later she emailed him and said i was lovely as well.

11. co-habitating has been a unique experience. i will write more on this subject when it's not so late and i am not so distracted.

12. umm... after all of that (and everything i forgot) i am ridiculously poor. going back to syracuse at least means going back to making money.

there.

winter break, lists, hoboken
