With all of the money I spend on skincare, haircare and makeup you'd think I would be some kind of knockout. I'm not; my bathroom cabinet is just packed with products that I tried a few times and gave up on. I have kind of a short attention span for beauty products. If it doesn't instantly make a difference in my appearance, 97% of the time it will ( Read more... )

I agree with the blotting papers.

This sounds weird, but I also bring a mini deodorant and a mini baby powder with me all the time in the summer. And a mini perfume. It makes me feel better to know that if I get gross, I can dash in a bathroom and freshen up. Oh! And baby wipes in a little ziploc. It's like my emergency fresh kit.

I personally like John Freida anti-frizz hairspray in the summer. I first discovered it when I was in NYC one summer interviewing for jobs and had to run between buildings. It saved my life! But when the occasional frizz DOES pop up, I just use a little hand lotion (since I always carry that in my purse too - I carry huge purses as you can imagine) to smooth it out. It's a good quick fix.

I wish I could give you great skincare product advice, but I've just thankfully been blessed with good skin genes and wash my face with irish spring most days, BUT I love the Aveeno Positively Radiant line. It just mades me feel...well, radiant. But if I had to give any tip, it's drink a ton of water each day. Seriously, we're talking like 80+ oz. a day, especially in the summer. It'll make you radiate without anything else!

Annnd I'm spent.
