Something...something holds me hypnotized.
So last week, I went to my first bachelor party. Lindsay came to the city via New Jersey, by way of Utah, and I met her after class in order to make it to Farmingdale to celebrate the marriage of our dear friend, Mike Dubin. Haha. I was expecting strippers, and booze and drugs and rock & roll escapade of sorts. The first three were nixed, but thank god there was a fantastic acoustic party that began with Lux Courageous, continued with Kevin Devine, which proceeded Hot Rod Circuit which led to the all-time greatest Long Island resident representative, Jesse Lacey. His performance was just all-around beautiful, never anything less, and Linds and I died when he sang gems from Tom Petty and Jawbreaker and Neutral Milk Hotel. <3
Val and I got together with Jackie and Erin from work and went to see 'Mean Girls' wit Lindsay Lohan. Such a cute movie. I had some worries that it would be stupid, but it was really funny. There were two older women in front of us that kept saying "Oh, my god, do you remember when we did that to poor old Cynthia?" and "OH MY GOD, that is totally [insert name here]." That's gonna be me and Val in 15 years. Embrace it, people.
In sad news, manager Mike at work has been promoted to Store Manager at some Abercrombie in New Jersey, which also took our fabulous store manager Johna only 2 weeks earlier. I missed Johna's going away get-together because of Skate and Surf, which was unfortunate, but I made sure not to miss the hysterics of Mike's departure bash. We all met at the store and drove to McHebe's near Hofstra...
