Found this line on Metafilter today; the guy was talking about engaging in discussions with the missionaries who came knocking on his door to convert him:

I actually once had one (experienced) missionary say to the other (more eager) one "Joe, if he doesn't believe in the bible already, you shouldn't use passages from the bible to convince him ( Read more... )

I've always wanted to argue with missionaries, but I never get the chance. Why is life always so hard!

They don't do the doorknocking here (or at least, not that I've seen/heard) - it seems like a U.S. thing, I guess?

A little old lady at a tram stop once tried to give me a flyer, though.

Nothing really concrete, yet. Thinking of travel, going to China to study Mandarin... I'm still waiting to hear back on the PR application, so it's all kind of in limbo right now.
