That is really cool! I met one other person who can, too.

Yeah, there seem to be more than I expected here.

It's kind of funny, there's only six people who can back in my world.

Why can the 6 people fly? Is it a power?

Right, a devil fruit.

Devil Fruit? I never heard of those before.

I guess they're pretty rare off of the Grand Line. Well, even on the Grand Line.

It's a cursed fruit. If you eat one, you're cursed for life to never swim again, but you gain a power, supposedly of the devil or something. Each one is a bit different. Mine's a zoan, making me sort of half phoenix, and I can turn into one at whim.

[Well, now he wants to ask about the Grand Line, but instead he listens to the rest of it.]

Oh, so they are fruits that give powers. Did you eat one by accident?

I don't even remember. It was ages ago. I used to think I was really just a phoenix who could disguise myself as a human. Took me a while to learn about devil fruits and figure it out, eh.

It sounds very different from the place I am from. But, I'd like to see you fly sometime!

I'll make sure to show you a little then.

What was the place you're from like?

Okay!

Has anyone told you about 'Earth?' before? If they did, it's probably the same.

Most people don't have powers. Or, they don't believe in them either.

Haven't heard of -- wait, is that where the countries are from?

I see. Wait, nothing? Not even the fishmen?

Countries? Wait, do you mean the ones named Sweden and Denmark, and Finland? I thought they were also people.

Fish men? Are those like mermaids?

Right them. I don't know, Denmark seems to act otherwise, but I doubt he's a fair representative for all of them.

A little, but kind of in reverse. Merfolk have fishtails and believe in peacefully living side by side with people, fishmen have more human legs but tend to be a lot more fishlike in face and body and they're strong. My brother Namur is one. Heh, wish I had a picture to show you.
