So I ventured on over to fandomsecrets for the very first time and came across this:

Let's just take a look at their relationship in series one, shall we?

Mmhmm, yes, I can see it already. VERY father-daughter right here.

And this TOTALLY reminds me of a dad asking his daughter to go on a nice road trip with him. It DOES NOT remind me of a teenage boy trying to act all nonchalant while asking a girl out on a date, then acting like it doesn't matter that she said no. Nope. Not. At. All.

And this? This most definitely is not a man trying to impress a woman. This is simply a father figure attempting to explain the simple mechanics of a time machine.

A man and a woman going out on a date? OH HELL NO. This is simply a father and a daughter going out for a nice mid-afternoon snack.

Better with two? Yes, yes it is...especially if it's a father figure and his would-be daughter larking about time and space.

What, this? Simply a father complimenting his daughter.

Mmhmm, yes, this is a fine example of a father protecting his young from harm.

A boyfriend giving his girlfriend a key to his house? PFFT. Right.

Well, duh. Of course a father is going to be upset at the possibility of losing his daughter.

"...the woman you love?" A father does love his daughter, after all. Everyone knows that.

Father figures are proud of their children, too.

"Always hold hands with someone when you're crossing the street!"

Dads are famous for being horrible dancers; she's simply teaching him how to dance. I don't know why you keep bringing up words like "lust" and "unresolved sexual tension." Your logic makes no sense.

Jealous? No no no. He's simply protective. As are all father figures.

Fathers and their children hug, you know.

Well. Umm. I-I've got nothing.

Don't get me wrong, I respect that person's opinion but...that just makes no sense AT ALL .
