You can stop poking me now.

Ah, September. Spring has begun. I sneeze and my eyes itch. Damn you, flowers. *shakes fist*

3 weekends ago I invited friends over. Well, two showed up. Peta < car. =( Anyway, Nick (wrai), Ally (lunchbox_queen) and I played gamecube, Scrabble and Squabble. Squabble is Scrabble with made up words. The only rules are that it has to be pronounceable (ironically, I am ( Read more... )

Thanks for the great update and sorry for your feet. I hope you get those boots broken in soon.

I was once attacked by crows at an outdoor market. I had stood too close to a tree where some baby crows had just hatched. The mother crow along with the father, sister-in-law, uncle and several cousin crows all started to swoop down and kick my head as they passed. I moved away as soon as I realized what had happened but they followed me around the market kicking me. Of course I tried to act like it was normal but several people seemed taken aback by a man walking through the market with a cloud of crows circling round his head kicking and screaming.

I now know why a group of crows is called "a murder of crows"

It wasn't great, it was too long and rambly and I just noticed there's a bit in there where I started a sentence and didn't finish it. But I'll leave it for prosperity. The boots are getting broken in quite nicely, though.

Good story! Bloody birds. ^^

I love the Squabble words. That's a great game!

I hope your shoes feel better soon! I know exactly how you feel. As you know, my shoes did the same to me when I first came to visit you. There are websites about what to do to prevent blisters, depending on whether your shoes are too tight, or too loose, which you might want to look at until you get them broken in.

I always enjoy reading your posts, my love. Don't think long, rambly ones will put me off. The more I hear from you, the better!

I will play Squabble with you when I arrive in Canada. The shoes are getting broken in nicely, so don't worry. ^__^

Peta,

A most excellent post - I feel much more in the loop now. I was feeling lonely for you since I don't get news from Jesse that much and nobody seems to be online when I am. Sounds like you have as much fun buying shoes as I do (not very much that would be.) I commiserate about the whole business. I have given up and mostly wear Birkenstocks (or their ilk). When it snows I wear boots, but otherwise the sandals are my only foot friends.

The baking sounds wonderful - I haven't had much chance to bake since about mid-August when the kitchen ended up stripped to bare bones. Hope to make up for it soon, though.

Hugs,
TigerMum

I have wide feet. Why can't shoe makers accomodate for wide feet? Is having wide feet a crime?

I hope your renovations are finished soon, it must be hard to live in an unfinished house.

*big hugs*

it is always fun walking from one side of the uni to the other. I know, I do it just about every day I am there. That is a double degree for you!

It is even more fun in a situation where your feet are all blistery and hurty. Yup, you have my sympathy. It is baaaad...

Yeah, so if you have any spare cooking, feel free to give it to me. Apparently I am too thin... yeah, whatever.

I haven't seen you lately Mel, are you too thin? Either way, I am sure I can spare some tasty biscuits, once I make some I'm happy with. Hopefully I will be able to drop some by in the next couple of weeks or so. ^^
