Remembering that God comforts
I got to thinking too much tonight about all of the tasks I shall have to accomplish in the near future and got pretty close to stressing out. Eventually, I took all those worries to where they belong, at Christ's feet.
"Slow my steps, my thoughts, my heart, my mind. Remind me that You have placed me here with what is in my hands for Your purposes. Help me to find Your rhythm through all of this, I don't need to continue being lost in the music all around me. Take my hand. Lead me. Allow my footprints to sink into Yours. Destroy all my plans, they are worthless in the light of You."
God comforts like no one else can. I seem to forget that all too often. Hopefully I'll remember that more quickly next time.
