So today was incredible. For starters, I got to sleep in late, I skateboarded around campus for a while in the afternoon, and I also read outside some for Philosophy. Though all of that is grand, it's just not as amazing as what followed.
Tonight, Jessica and I knew we wanted to do something very random and fun. We ended up going on quite the adventure. We went with Danny to go rafting/exploring in a cave at a park in Springfield. We all had separate one-man rafts and laid on our stomachs and propelled ourselves by practically swimming. The only light we had was one flashlight and a headlamp. The water was fairly chilly. It was crazy fun. The cave was beautiful and it seemed to go on forever. We kept getting out of our rafts and exploring areas of the cave that we could walk/duck around. It was so muddy everywhere we went but that just added to the fun of it all since we were sliding around. When we got back to our rafts we had to belly flop on them and that was hilarious. By the end of our exploring excursion we were drenched. So, as were were packing up the car and about to get our dry clothes out Danny locked his keys in the trunk. That's right, we were standing there, wet and muddy, amazed and laughing at our predicament. So, Jessica called AAA for help. After a good long while, we finally got in the car and headed to the nearest Krispy Kreme. Jess and I changed and then we all went through the drive-thru and got those famous doughnuts. It was the perfect way to end the night. Randomly spelunking at night at that park in Springfield was the greatest adventure of my life so far. I wouldn't trade that experience for the world.
Arg, Spring Forward is so uncool. That's all I have time and energy to report.
Later!
