is actually extremely good. As far as my state of mind goes, I'm usually in a thoughtful, content, intense, seize-the-moment type attitude (sounds fairly complex, eh?). Every day brings it's own work and fun almost hourly. I don't intend on being someone who just watches on the sidelines of life. My goal is to live with no apologies and no regrets. I guess what it boils down to is I desire to be known for my zeal for God and the abundant life that He has blessed me with. Well, that's what is inside of my head at this point.
Other than that this week has gone well. Today/tonight was great with a long nap, playing guitar, eating pizookie (the most AMAZING thing...ever!), watching some of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics (gotta love it!), hanging out with the roomies (I love you guys!), and watching Elizabethtown (which was extremely cute). I applied for a position at a youth camp job this Summer and I am quite stoked about it. I'm really digging my Voice and Diction and Philosophy classes. My favorite philosophical thought of recent has been:
"...I should like to pause here and spend some time in the contemplation of God; to reflect on his attributes, and to gaze with wonder and adoration on the beauty of this immense light, so far as the eye of my darkened intellect can bear it. For just as we believe through faith that the supreme happiness of the next life consists solely in the contemplation of the divine majesty, so experience tells us that this same contemplation, albeit much less perfect, enables us to know the greatest joy of which we are capable in this life."
-Descartes (In the Third Meditation of the "Meditations on First Philosophy")
Well, that's all for now I guess, it's getting late.
Later!
