Luna's expression was a bit blank with the thought of seeing Harry, but she convinced herself that her troubles could be saved till a later time. They were here for Harry, Neville and the rest, and tonight what they needed to see was a friendly, happy Luna Lovegood.

"Yes, you're right," she said with a smile, though her grip on Seamus's arm became a little more snug.

But, admittedly, she felt a lot better when she saw Ginny and Harry in person. They made a handsome pair, and Luna was quite impressed by Ginny's robes, but Ginny beat her to compliments.

"Thank you, so do you!" Luna said with a bright smile. She returned Harry's hug lightly, her mood greatly improved. But she looked up when he greeted her, surprised to find that his eyes were on Seamus and not her. Unfortunately she missed the meaning of his expression and was still quite uncertain of what had happened when she returned to Seamus's arm.

"Thank you, Harry." Her smile in reply to Harry's compliment was a bit shy. Ginny already knew that Luna was seeing Seamus and had expressed her support, but Seamus was one of Harry's mates; what would he think?

Well... for now, he didn't seem too concerned. Luna grinned. "It's all right. I'm quite satisfied with him, actually." She meant that earnestly... like she usually did. To the invitation she added, "That would be lovely," and looked up to Seamus for his opinion. She was pretty sure he would agree.

Ginny was the first to reach them, complimenting Luna on her dress robes. He wondered a bit how well these two witches knew each other. He’d not paid a great deal of attention to which girls had been friends back at Hogwarts. “Well now, Hullo to you back then now Ginny lass, and you look too good for the bloke you came in with, luv. Right, ‘tis true that he might be improving his lot before long then, so’s you might want to bear with him a while longer then.” He winked at Ginny, glad to see that Harry had his choice on his arm this even as well.

Harry was right behind her and his smirk made it clear to Seamus that he was amused to find out that Luna had been his unnamed lady. Seamus was pleased that Harry took the time to agree with Ginny’s compliment to Luna’s attire, she seemed so wholly unused to compliments and deserved many more of them. Of course that was quickly followed by an obvious prod in his direction. He’d expect no less from a mate. Propitiously, while he was laughing at Harry’s remark, his Luna proceeded to calmly and matter of factly protest that she found him “satisfactory”. That only made him laugh harder, knowing full well that he’d be hearing about that again. Satisfactory Finnigan? Well, Malfoy had called him much worse...

“Aye, mate. Luna’s a tolerant lass to be putting up with me own lowly self this even as well. ‘Tis certain both lasses could do massively better, so’s we aught to be after showing them the best that we have, lad, ‘tis little enough.”

As to dinner, he’d already told Luna she could choose, but he was pleased that she accepted Harry’s invitation to join them. “Aye, Harry lad. Lovely was just the word I was after then.” He winked back at Harry and waited for him to lead the way to a table. Luna hand tightened on his arm, and he wondered why as he covered it with his. If the girl needed a steady hand to guide her, she’d find none more willing than his.
