Ron held onto Lavender's hand as they stood in line, waiting to congradulate Remus and Severus. He had offered her his handkerchief, that he had stuck in his pocket, to dab at her eyes earlier and he watched her use it to blot the tears on her face. His navy suit was very dashing, and he felt he did Lavender justice. She look amazing.

He had picked her promptly, waiting awkwardly in the doorway of the flat where he had been, not so very long ago. With the use of a portkey, and the Floo network, they made it to the Bonding location not too early for the ceremony. It had been a really impressive affair; even Ron had to admit that it was fairly romantic. He had put his arm around her when the anticipated tearing up began, and he left it around her the rest of the ceremony.

They had watched the two men leave, hand in hand, and he had pulled her close for a quick hug, before they rose to follow the rest of the crowd. Now, they stood in line, and he had her hand in his. He was pleased she had agreed to come with him. It was difficult to see two people make the commitment of being together forever without thinking about making those choices for himself. He had always thought it would be Hermione that would find that spot in his heart. He knew now, that the girl had moved on and made other choices. The woman next to him made him feel differently; she made him feel like he was a success, no mater what occurred in his life. He couldn't help gazing down at her and smiled. He never would have expected to find it so easy to be with someone so quickly. He quietly asked her, as they made their way forward slowly, "Are you okay? Do you need something to drink? Let me tell you again, you loof fantastic."

The ceremony had been perfectly romantic. Lavender had originally thought it would be odd to see two of her former professors together as a couple. She had never predicted their relationship. But somehow they were so right for each other that Lavender really couldn't see them any other way. The tears had started rather quickly during the ceremony but it had been an emotional event.

Lavender glanced at Ron after her tears subsided and wondered if he was really the one for her. Sure, he felt right standing next to her, but forever? Lavender had no doubt in her mind that if Ron would have her forever, she would reciprocate. She wasn't sure what Ron wanted, though.

"I'm fine," Lavender replied, trying to sound cheerful. "Thank you, you don't look half bad yourself, Ron."

They reached Severus and Remus, who both looked dashing in their robes. "Professor Lupin and Professor Snape... er... I suppose I can stop calling both of you 'professor' now," Lavender giggled. "Congratulations, it was a beautiful ceremony." Lavender turned away slightly, she could feel herself tearing up again, but only because she was extremely happy for the both of them.

Ron also greeted the men with words of congratulations, and shook their hands. He cleared his throat, and said, "It was a wonderful ceremony, really. Thank you for inviting me. I wish you all of the best."

He moved to put his hand gently at her back, ready to lead her away from the men. Ron looked at Remus shyly, "I expect I will try to get a hold of you upon your return," and he shifted his gaze to Severus as well, "It will be regarding NEWTs. I will send an owl in a few weeks so we can schedule some time to meet, if that is convenient."

He looked at Lavender and smiled, and pushed his handkerchief into her hand again, to take care of her tears.
