It had been a little over a week since she had woken up in St. Mungo's. She had had more time to recover before the healers had decided that she was well enough to go home. Little things had come back over her time at the hospital. Christmas with her parents and Charlie. Talking with Ron, some other little things.
The healers had said that she would probably make more progress if she went home to be in familiar surroundings. Plus she didn't need to stay there any longer. She had found out that her Quidditch Career was over though. Her manager and teammates had come to see her a few days before, it was hard for Katie to accept. She loved playing Quidditch, but it had been explained to her that if she wanted to continue playing, the next hit to her shoulders would probably make her a cripple. She had accepted it, but it had been hard.
She was sitting there, waiting for Charlie to come back after signing all the paperwork to get her to go home. She was dressed in a comfortable pair of jeans and a sweater that her mother had brought her. She was ready to get out of there. She knew that it was going to be strange, but she wanted to try to make things right in her head. She wanted to remember her marriage, she wanted to make things right for them all.
