Seamus used a fresh white bar towel to wipe down the spotless bar in front of him at Finnigan’s of Diagon Alley. It was Saturday and promising to be another busy night for his new business and as usual he kept his eyes on the front door, greeting each new customer warmly whether they were new to Finnigan’s or a returning friend. He kept an especially close watch since he was expecting both Hannah and Dean to come by for an impromptu but long overdue meeting to discuss how they fared with the Viewers.
The business was growing by leaps and bounds, but the three who were most involved in keeping the business headed in the right direction had not had a chance to get together to assess their success over the recent holiday season. Seamus glanced at the smaller sized viewer he kept hidden beneath the bar. It contained a lovely rendering of his new favourite lady, Constance Beven Finnigan. If the family customers of their Viewer business were half as happy as he was to have the giggling likeness of his own dear babe for company whilst he was working, then their future was bright indeed.
He took a turn around the bar, making sure all of his customers were properly looked after. Most were keen on the current Quidditch match showing - one of the Playoff games betwixt the Tutshill Tornados and the Wigtown Wanderers. The Tornados were playing some brilliant Quiddich. Seamus still couldn’t bear to watch the other semi-final matches of the Kenmare Kestrels being handed their brooms by the Champion Holyhead Harpies. Maybe next season…
The door opened, and Seamus turned to see if it might be either Dean or Hannah. There were still some seats at the bar, which would do just fine for their meeting….
