The morning had flown by for Molly, as even though it had been a week since Charlie had announced his marriage, she couldn’t help but still be a little hurt about the chain of events that led up to the dinner she and Arthur had with the newlyweds. However, she was beginning to put it behind her, as she knew that if she didn’t soon, it would cause an even bigger rift than it already had, and she certainly didn’t want Katie to feel like she disliked her. Then again, as she said when she had recounted the events to Nick (he had been unable to ignore her bad mood the following day at work) it had been Charlie’s own fault that she had basically yelled at him in front of his wife. She hadn’t wanted to do it, but true to form, Charlie had pushed her just a little too far, and she had been unable to hold back. She was already planning on apologizing again, and taking Katie out for a girls’ night out in the new year, as Molly was sure she wouldn’t be able to find the time now that Christmas was approaching.
When Molly finally checked the clock, she was surprised that Percy would be arriving in less than five minutes, and she knew he would be here on time, as he always was. She cleared her work area and washed her hands so she would be ready when he arrived, as she knew they wouldn’t have a lot of time, and as she was taking this as her lunch, she’d have to eat as well.
