Arthur had just gotten done at work and headed home. He knew he was going to beat Molly home, so he was going to start dinner. He stopped when he saw Charlie, then approached quietly, "Your mother thought you quit, Charlie. She's going to be home soon you know."

"Oh, hi, Dad." he said, taking a last drag from his cigarette before stubbing it out and making the butt disappear. "I suppose I did quit, but things have been rather stressful. I started again." he shrugged, rubbing the unshaven stubble on his cheek.

"How was the weekend?" he asked with a smile. He had his own issues, but he was beyond glad to see his parents on the right path again.

"Don't sound so happy to see me." He shook his head, "That's understandable. Though you should really be more careful around here. Don't worry, I won't tell her. Besides, you look like you've had a rough week."

Arthur smirked and wondered how much he should tell his son, "It was perfect, Charlie."

Molly had been planning on trying to get home a bit earlier, but as things could never truly be guaranteed at the hospital, she had gotten held up, and had sent along an owl to Arthur to let him know he'd most likely beat her home, and that thought excited her. He was going to be starting dinner for her, which hopefully meant they'd have a bit more time together this evening. After all, she wouldn't have another set of essays to grade until the following day, thanks to all of her hard work in preparation for their weekend.

She walked up to her husband and son, and she had arrived just in time to hear Charlie ask about their weekend. She smiled at her husband's response, moving to greet first Charlie with a hug and a kiss before turning to Arthur.

"Yes, I'd have to agree with you there, dear. How are you, Charlie?" Molly had been wondering what Charlie had needed to talk to her about all day, especially considering what they had talked about the last couple of times Charlie had needed her advice.
