In the weeks since the Werewolf Rally and their lovely Minister's little speech, things had begun to cool down. Or so it seemed. Business and employee productivity were up at the shop, and the murmurs about Ministry retaliation seemed to have slowed down. It was almost disappointing, though, even if it meant no one would be punished for their participation. It seemed that the Ministry of Magic had done exactly what they wanted- they'd managed to cover up an embarrassing event, to quell a near uprising.
Though, Weasley had a suspicion that his best mate and sister wouldn't let the issue die so easily. They were both stubborn as hell. It was just a matter of time before things stirred again.
In the meantime, life had returned to almost normal- though a bit hectic. Between keeping up with Hermione and his job, Ron found himself working almost day in day out these past few weeks. It was a busy time for the shop- with the Hogwarts school year drawing closer and students wanting to stock up.
But, that Sunday, he found his busy schedule free for the first time in...well, he didn't know when. And while he might have usually stopped by and bothered his girlfriend for the evening, he figured she was probably sick of him and could use the time to catch up on some reading. And he had some window shopping to do, anyway. Besides, a nice stroll by himself around the old Alley would do him good. Or so Ron reasoned before he Aparated to a familiar spot just outside the Leaky Cauldron.
