Hogwarts Ball - Arrivals

Professor Flitwick and his team of house elves had outdone themselves.
The Main Entrance to the school was decorated with elegance in an understated motif of ivy and crystal. Vines of greenery wound around doorways and banisters, then looped overhead to create a trellis of ivy. Crystals, illuminated from within, were strung throughout the vines at random intervals to cast pools of golden light and soft shadow over the floor. Across the doorway into the Great Hall, more vines hung just into the opening to create a natural swag curtain leading into the main ball.
Wrought iron benches, molded in a matching ivy design, were spaced out along the walls for guests to sit and talk without having to shout over the music. In one corner below the main stair a bench swing, also of the same wrought iron design, had been hung in a quiet alcove lit with the same crystal lights.
