Katie had told the team to arrive early for practice, telling them all that they were having a special guest to come watch their practice. She also dangled that he might be helping them through workshop practice at a later date. She had come to find that giving them some aspect of a bribe could get them to work together. It was never officially a bribe, but it was kind of like dangling a carrot in front of a unicorn. Sometimes it took the treat and sometimes you got poked by the horn.
She had decided to let Larson and Gristian back on the team on a trial basis. They were still quite the handful, but she was going to give them the benefit of the doubt. If they proved that they could not be trusted, then she would boot them off the team, but they had behaved for the most part since their suspension. So she would give them their chance. She was a fair person...
She ran them through their warm-up drills, her mind on the house match that was a couple of weeks down the road. She knew that they would have their work cut out for them, but she was pleased to see that relatively few of her players looked rusty through their warm-up drills.
