Advice is seldom welcome; and those who want it the most always like it the least. )
Had Mandy been the sort to read Witch Weekly, or even been given the chance by escaping her room now and then she might recognize the pretty girl whose face was constantly splashed across the society pages. As it was she was lucky to get her hands on a daily copy of the Prophet.
"Right. Well, she works with Professor Snape, so you'll most likely find her in his dungeons." She said with an involuntary shudder. She'd never had to fear Severus Snape as much as most students, she generally had the mental capacity to understand and regurgitate his instructions nearly to his liking, and as such was able to avoid being thought a complete dunderhead, or atleast pass below the radar thanks to other less than admirable performances. Though even grown she'd never think on the dungeons without fear and the memory of the overgrown bat who inhabited them.
"No. I don't believe we've met."
I'm the invisible member of the pack.
"Though I think we may have been at school together."
Parkinson.
Petunia. Peony. Poin-something or other with a p. Some sort of flower. Poppy?
She thought it rather admirable she remembered that much. Not that she'd dare mention the idea of this girl's name being Petunia; somehow she didn't think she'd take to kindly to that.

Pansy regarded the other girl with a calm expression. They were off an age, and this girl was Welsh so they must have attended Hogwarts at the same time. Mentally, Pansy was flipping through a scrapbook of fellow students who had been mostly beneath her notice but this girl, quiet and blonde and fairly pretty (why hadn't Perry mentioned this girl, ever? What was going on there?) was too much like any number of them.
Giving up, she inclined her head noncommitantly and said, "Yeah, that must be it." She shifted her bag up onto her shoulder and added, "I'll head off up to Hogwarts then. See you."

She was pretty sure there was, Severus used it, and so did June and Remus. But Mandy had no idea how it worked, and Snape was likely to evict her for showing this girl that such a thing existed.
Reaching for the door she nodded softly and attempted a half-hearted smile, "Yeah, see you."
The door shut softly behind her as she retreated into the house before she turned to look at it, Pansy. That had been her name, or was still she supposed. However did Pansy Parkinson know June? Know June well enough to come here looking for her?
