Harry grabbed his broom, checked the Phoenix for anything else he might need, and Apparated to Oliver's cottage outside of Hogsmeade. He sort of slunk into the area, not really wanting to be seen by many people. He saw Tonks over by the cottage, talking to some people who could be Oliver's parents; the man looked so much like Oliver that it was kind of scary. Both of Oliver's parents' faces were white as sheets. God, I hope Tonks isn't delivering bad news, he thought worriedly.

Closer to the cottage, Harry saw Snape. Wonderful, he thought bitterly. Just the asshole I wanted to see. He took a deep breath. Remember, this isn't about you, it's not about Oliver, and it's definitely not about Snape. It's about Wini. Always remember that.

Harry bit his lip, gripped his broom tightly, and walked into the thick of things, looking for Oliver. He asked a random Auror where Oliver was, and the Auror pointed mutely to the cottage, lost in another conversation with a member of the Magical Law Enforcement squad. Harry drew in another deep breath and headed toward the cottage. He waved to Tonks as he passed, and went toward the cottage, deciding at the last minute to detour to the tent set up outside. He saw a thick knot of people in the tent, and he tried to find Oliver through it. Finally, he heard a very familiar, yet incredibly upset and unfamiliar, voice. Oliver, he thought, almost nervous now.

"Oliver," Harry said in a lower voice. He hoped that Oliver had heard him. Harry didn't know what else to say. I'm here? That wouldn't do at all; it sounded like he thought that Oliver had been waiting for him to show up. What can I do? Well, that sounded like a better alternative. "What can I do, Oliver?" he asked, slightly louder this time.
