It didn't matter that he hadn't been playing. Oliver was a winner today.

He made his way to the Gryffindor stands, broom in hand, his face bright and beaming. He had run his voice hoarse halfway through the game and without the assistance of Madame Pomfrey who had given him a tonic for it he wouldn't be able to talk anymore.

He had left Winifred with one of the Gryffindor prefect girls, and though the toddler was still pouting and sulky, the girl and her friends had done a good enough job keeping her entertained. He tucked the cotton baby carrier that he used while flying with Wini on his broom under his arm, and then Oliver lifted Wini into his arms. "You see Da's team, Wini?" he asked her, grinning. "Da's team won!"

She frowned at him. "Gif'dur?"

"Yeah," said Oliver. "Gryffindor won." He looked down and saw June standing at the bottom of the stands and started jogging down to meet her. "Oy," he called. "June."

Oliver had promised her a tour of his cottage, and he had asked June if she'd like to come along after the game about a week ago. It had been his hope that this time he'd be a winner able to escort the fellow Gryffindor around to see the house, all the while able to keep up his bragging.

He was still beaming when he got to June. "It was a great game, wasn't it?" he said, setting Winifred down and clearing his throat. "I think I need to work on the Keeper a bit more -- I can't believe he let 9 goals in! -- but we won." When Gryffindor won the match against Slytherin, it always set a good precedent for the year.

"Ah, so how are you doing, June?"
