Fred Weasley ~ 4:55 c_chesilwick October 31 2006, 04:57:52 UTC
"With this impish grin, how could you say no? Fred is tall, dashing, and is rumored to be an excellent gentleman. Though he is rumored to have a girlfriend, why don't you ladies jump on this chance to charm the charmer? And the bidding begins, yet again, at 30 galleons!"

Tori watched with a smirk, as Fred took the stage with all the enthusiasm of someone who was completely enjoying himself. It would almost serve him right, if some old hag won the bidding for him. She said as much to Henri and Sasha, who were sharing a table with her. They'd both agreed.

But still, it was for a good cause... "30 Galleons," she spoke up.

Fred Weasley's fame was quite spread throughout the wizarding world. There would be no shortage of bidders for this fine young man - though perhaps there might be a shortage of Galleons for some, as they spent far too much money on the young man's products - and Daydream potion - to allow for 'rich' bidding.

Still, what was Thirty Galleons when it came to a hunk like this?

Placards began to wave wildly in the air through out the room, leaving the Auctioneer almost breathless as he tried to keep up with the bids.

"Thirty five... do I have there it is forty, forty forty forty how about forty-five have forty-five now fifty have fifty now fifty-five? Fifty-one fifty-one now have fifty-two, sixty in the back.

"Sixty, sixty, sixty..."

Clearly miss Chesilwick had spared no expense to find a good, professional 'caller'.

"Who will go to sixty sixty sixty...."

Tori shouldn't have been surprised at the small bidding war going on for Fred... After all, he was hot. From up on the block, Tori could see that Fred was enjoying all the attention. "Sixty-Five!" she called out.

"Seventy!"

"Seventy-Five," some bloke in the back called out.

Tori fought not to laugh at that one. It would serve Fred right to be won by that one... Still... "Eighty!" she raised her placard.

"Eighty-five!" shrieked a middle-aged woman toward the back of the room, waving her placard enthusiastically.

"Eighty-five, five, five who will give me ninety. I've got ninety, who will go ninety-five," the caller chanted easily, if slightly breathlessly due to the rapid-fire bidding.

"Ninety five!" cried the matronly woman again.

Oh, dear! Was this foreshadowing to 'Desperate Housewives' to make an appearance on Muggle tele in a few years?

Tori nearly choked when she saw the older broad who was so clearly interested in Fred. That caused her to miss two or three opportunities to catch up in the bidding and it was becoming clear that that other woman was rather desperate to get her hands on the more popular Weasley twin.

"One hundred twenty galleons!" Tori finally shouted, raising her placard. That little spike in the bidding instantly silenced all other bidders.

"SOLD! To the woman with the tri-colored hair! Congradulations, Miss!"

Pleased with herself, Tori got up and made her way to the table to pay for her... purchase...

Though Fred hid it well, he was a little disturbed by the man who bid on him early on. And then there was that older woman... She made him nervous... Or was that just the fact that Tori had seemed to stop bidding. She wasn't really going to let all those other bidders beat her, was she?

"SOLD! To the woman with the tri-colored hair! Congradulations, Miss!"

Fred grinned impishly as Tori stood and brushed a lock of blue hair out of her face, before making her way to where she would pay and... collect her winnings... Hopping down off the block, Fred sauntered over to meet Tori.

Oh... Fred looked far to pleased with the outcome of his "sale"... Adopting a rather haughty attitude, Tori initially ignored him, when he approached. Instead, she picked up the contract and looked it over very critically... After all, she hadn't grown up the daughter of a rather successful business man without learning a few things about contracts and deals and such...

"Oh well this is no fun..." she muttered more to herself, as she looked over the contract.

Turning to Fred, read off what she was agreeing to:

"I, the undersigned, agree to the terms listed below.... Hmm...

"- I will not touch my date in an intimate manner without his or her express permission. That means you're going to have to ask very nicely...
"- I am willing to have the presence of an... Oh that won't be necessary...
"- The set time for the date is two hours, extended only at the agreement of both parties. Right...
"- I will treat my date with dignity. Note to self: leave the handcuffs at home that night..."

That got a bit of a protest from Fred, ( ... )

"Let me see that!" Fred demanded, trying to snatch the parchment out of Tori's hands.

"Quiet, slave," she ordered, reading over the contract again. With a sigh, she picked up a quill and leaned over the table to sign and date it. Straightening, Tori looked Fred over, as if he really were just a piece of meat.

"Take me away, Mistress," Fred begged, holding out his arms, as if they were bound together.

"I could get used to this," Tori grinned evilly at him, taking his wrists in one hand and leading him away. Moments later, they were sitting at the table Tori was sharing with the other shop girls, discussing where Tori wanted Fred to take them, on their date.
