The unicorn book had died a very sad death yesterday. Wini had decided to take it out to the 'fogs' that she had fallen in love with to show them, and it had been left behind for their enjoyment. A quick bit of rain, however, had reduced the unicorn book to a soggy, muddy mess. She had been very distraught when she found it in the evening, and refused to be consolled even by her preffered book - the book about Quidditch. And since Oliver had nothing else to do in the morning, he decided he'd go to the book shop and see if he couldn't help Wini find new books. And... Maybe he'd even get some books himself. Some ones about kids and how to raise them. Wini had been getting a bit more demanding as time went on, and Oliver wasn't exactly sure how to deal with it.
They arrived at the Leaky Cauldron by floo (which put Wini in a bad mood, but Oliver knew he couldn't just fly to Diagon from Hogsmeade!) and set off down the road to the book shop. Oliver carried Winifred till they were at the door, and then let her down on her own feet. She recognized this place from when she had come here with Parvati, and seemed to have forgiven her Dad for the floo now that she could run around the place. Wini started toddling around, and Oliver just followed her, letting her enjoy the chance to explore this place. He wasn't in a hurry, so why rush it? He grinned after his daughter. She's damn smart, he thought.
