Seamus had seen the sign when he jogged past, on his way back to The Leaky Cauldron to shower and dress before his shift began at 11:00. He decided to take a quick shower and go over to say hello to Lavender before his shift began. She’d been here at The Leaky for a while now and they had seen very little of each other. The least he could do was go in and wish her good luck on her new job and career.

As he entered the shoppe, it looked like he had the place to himself. He couldn’t help remembering when his Mum had brought him here to get his first wand before he’d gone off to Hogwarts for the first time. He smiled at the memory, he’d been such a Mama’s boy then. That was not all that had changed in the intervening years. He’d have never guessed then what his life was like now.

“Cheers, Lavender luv! Howya?” He smiled and walked over to the counter, wondering what you did in a wand shoppe if you weren’t really in the market for a wand.

"Seamus!" Lavender said. She beamed at him, the frown completely gone. "I'm glad to see you're here..." She said, running a hand along the wood of the counter. "You've been neglecting me. You'll have to make up for it." She let out a little giggle, looking around the room. "What do you think of the place now? A bit more cleaned up, isn't it? I'm guessing you don't want a wand, do you?"

Seamus laughed as Lavender insisted he’d been neglecting her ( ... )

Charlotte had taken the day to redo inventory, having gone through certain issues of reshelving, ordering and the like. She really needed someone to help her out with the daily maintenance of the shop. Fleur was busy at Gringott's and such things. She wouldn't dream of asking her friend for anymore help then she had already given to her.

She had been cleaning and had tripped over a book, whapping her wand hard on the floor and it hadn't been working properly since then. She had gotten the notice about Ollivander's reopening a short distance from her own shop, so she decided to take it to see about getting it fixed.

It was a french wand, but she hoped that Mr. Ollivander could fix it. She entered the shop, looking around, it was quaint, a little cluttered, but nice.

Seamus was mortified! He turned to see Charlotte Ar-real-or-us come into the shoppe and fervently hoped that she’d not heard his extremely lame and insulting imitation of Madame Maxine! Or worse yet - heard the that dreadful French accent and thought he’d been imitating her! He loved to do imitations, but did them very sparingly for just this reason! Hopefully she had come in to late to catch his last remark.

“Cheers, Charlotte lass,” he called out his welcome in a very steady voice, plastering his best Leaky smile on his face. “Howya?”

Then he glanced over at Lavender. Now why was it he had this sudden feeling that Lavender Brown was somehow around whenever you were about to make an arse of yourself? He laughed out loud. If he did, he had no one to blame but himself.

"I'll give you the flogging later," Lavender teased, winking at Seamus. "You've made me so lonely I've been spending most of my time with Colin Creevy -- you remember him, a year younger than us, always had the camera and followed Harry around? We went out to RollerDisco last night." She laughed. When Charlotte came in she had to put her hand over hre mouth and give a cough to hide her smirk and giggle. It was more Seamus' expression than anything else. Lavender pursed her lips, giving Seamus a meaningful look ( ... )

Seamus watched as Mr. Ollivander appeared in the shop and nearly took Lavender to task for merely attempting to touch Charlotte’s wand. Charlotte’s wand did look a bit worse for wear. It wasn’t as broken as Ron’s had been back at Hogwarts, but did have the look of wand in need of a mending. He watched with interest as Mr. Ollivander took the wand and examined it. He’d been hoping to have a brief word with Mr. Ollivander, but now clearly wasn’t the time. He was totally consumed with Charlotte’s wand.

He looked over at Lavender, giving her a sympathetic smile. Then he also smiled at Charlotte. It wasn’t as if Mr. Ollivander was paying her the least bit of attention either. For him, a wizard was clearly only of interest by virtue of his wand.
