Immature naming scheme notwithstanding, Severus had followed the Falcons almost from the moment he had become aware of the wizarding world. Probably because his grandfather had followed them, and Severus himself had been privileged enough to meet an occasional player now and then while helping in the Apothecary.

NOT that members of the Falcons EVER purchased any ability-enhancing potions! Of course not!

Besides, the colours were ones he could deign to wear without feeling ridiculous. The same might be said of the Ballycastle Bats or the Montrose Magpies, but Severus refused to wear 'Magpies', no matter that they were in black and white, and he had lived with quite enough 'bat' references in his life to be going on with - even though he had actively fostered some of them. Besides, the scarlet was utterly out of the question.

However, he had still never indulged in anything so frivolous as actually paying hard-earnt galleons to attend a professional game. Winning the drawing was a surprise, and his first instinct had been to sell the bloody tickets and be done with it. If he hadn't found out in such proximity to the unusual meeting with Mr Wagtail, he probably would have done.

As it was, he now found himself dressed in Muggle clothes once again - it would be his luck that the stadium they were using this time was the one built for the World Cup of '94, meaning much of the surrounding area was populated by Muggles and required appropriate dress. Faded denims that were once black but now were charcoal grey clung to his legs, his usual black ankle-high boots adorned his feet, and another comfortable Rugby-style shirt, this time in the Falcon grey made up his attire today, topped with the obligatory long raincoat. He had looked into the provided accommodations, and had been forced to 'upgrade' for a 'nominal fee' to a suite rather than one room. (!)

The Apparition coordinates Wagtail had provided him proved to be a very quaint neighborhood, considerably brighter and generally cleaner than the admittedly dingy area in which he lived. Great leafy trees interrupted the pavement and flowers burst out of window-boxes and in hedgerows along the buildings. The street lamps were carved to resemble an older time period, as were benches scattered along the public areas. The whole thing gave a whimsical appearance of an age long-past, clearly meant to inspire one to think of purer, more innocent times.

As though such things ever existed.

Severus snorted in derision, though this was precisely the fanciful sort of setting he would have guessed Wagtail to prefer. He couldn't help but wonder, yet again, what the bloody hell had possessed him to ask the younger man to accompany him.

He'd have been better off selling the blasted tickets.

None of which prevented him from readjusting his satchel on his shoulder - his luggage shrunken to be manageable while still appearing 'Muggle' - and knocking on the door of the building to which Wagtail had directed him.
