Seamus and Luna arrived by Portkey on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. They were within walking distance of both the
Quidditch Pitch on Bodmin Moor and the
Jamica Inn where Quality Quidditch Supplies had arranged for their accommodations after Seamus had let them know that he and his guest wished to stay at a hotel. Seamus had chosen a hotel after Luna left the
decision to him, saying she had never stayed at a hotel. He was not certain what the accommodations might be at the Jamica Inn, and had not had time to even think about it before their arrival, since it had already been a very busy
morning for the lad.
They arrived early enough to go and check in at the hotel before going over to the Moor for the Quidditch game that started at 1 p.m. Now that they were here, Seamus felt again the excitement and pleasure he’d had when he first won these tickets from
Quality Quidditch Supplies. He was here with the witchy woman he loved and they were going to watch the Kestrels play Quidditch for the next three days. It was a Quidditch fan’s dream come true!
He smiled, took Luna’s hand and they walked over to the Jamica Inn.
Once inside, the older woman at the desk could not have been more cordial. They were greeted warmly and made to feel very welcome, including an offer of a light lunch and a welcoming Cornwall tea, courtesy of the management. Seamus and Luna agreed to enjoy their luncheon and tea, then walk out on the Moor, being careful not to refer to the stadium or Quidditch. The Inn was lovely, but all the Hotels were local and not run by wizards.
The desk clerk assured them their luggage would be ported to their room and they should enjoy their walk on the Moor and be sure to be back in time for dinner.
As they sat in the Hotel dining room enjoying the luncheon tea sandwiches with homemade scones, strawberry jam and local Cornish cream, Seamus felt almost too excited to eat!
“Well then, Luna love, canst remember the last time this Seamus had three days off from The Leaky! Right, should be a lovely holiday for the two of us, love. Your Seamus is right pleased that you came.” He beamed at Luna, finishing up his scone and anxious to get to Bodmin Stadium for the start of the Quidditch game.
