For all her life she’d been a simple girl. Her parents owned a small home, they were both dentists, life wasn’t exciting or extravagant. Now she lived in a mansion, with gardens and wings and now she was out to lunch with a wizarding celebrity. Like every teenager she’d enjoyed The Weird Sisters music but had never really known much about the artists themselves, apart from what she read in The Prophet.
She was early, only a few minutes and the waiter showed her to one of the more out of the way tables towards the back. Glad she’d assumed it’d be a quite a nice place, her plain skirt and shirt ensured she didn’t stick out too much.
Relaxing back in the chair, her eyes slid across the room taking in the expensive details that places she usually dined never would include. This was a place for a society way above Hermione’s and it left her feeling slightly uncomfortable.
Upon being offered a drink, Hermione ordered herself a glass of white wine not even bothering with the list as looking at the price would probably have had her inner thrifty woman faint. A drink would help her relax and relaxing would be useful to not come across as pretentious.
